Hi Bill – been on the Pinterest Content Marketing How to Guide webinar – very useful!

    • Hi, thank you very much for the feedback! If you ever have any questions, please ask and I’ll do my best to answer!

Your webinar connected me to this site, thank you. Very well done.
But I have a question for you?
You talked about the20/80 rule. Prior to hearing that, I was leaning more toward 80/20 on a new project.

    The project:
    – We are converting our website from HTML to WordPress next week.
    – We are a party rental company where the pictures sell the service.
    – I have been experimenting with pinning pictures from our blog( a WP Blog attached to our HTML site)

In effect, we are acting like a consultant or a resource for planning to allow them to pick party rental equipment that fits their style, goal.

You are welcome to peek, search Event Central on Pinterest

A second question I don’t find much written about:
For a service business like mine, on Pinterest, do I keep the personal identify with my name, or bring the company and logo into the header? Most of our marketing is done as a company, not as an individual. (we are a regional company)

    • First of all, thanks for attending and for the kind words.

For your first question, I think it just looks self-serving and that runs counter to the spirit of social media; it feels more like “me media.” Now, of course, the 20/80 rule is just a guideline. Feel free to experiment.

To answer your second question, I would say that it is your company that you are trying to market, so that’s the focus I would put on “identity.”

      Does that make sense?

I previously attended your Pinterest webinar, it was extremely informative and your content on this member site…also extremely well done and helpful. I do have question related to facebook, I am one of two “admins” on a business FB page for a smaller independent pharmacy chain. I used my FB login email to request a pinterest acct. (to use for business) but I created this FB acct.to solely use to be added as an admin for the FB business page. In using this email it is connected to a personal site that I only use to function as an admin for thee Business FB “page”. Can I link the pinterest account (email used from situation described above) to have posts go the business page and not to my FB account ? When I am in FB I know I can switch to “use FB as the business page”…but I don’t know if that helps on the Pinterest side to have posts go to the business page…not to my admin FB set up. Basically can I have items from Pinterest post to the business page? We don’t use twitter at this time. Any suggestions appreciated and thank you!

  4. @foydonna@aol.com—I’m fairly confident that your Pinterest account is tied to your Facebook account, not a Facebook page.

There is a way, though, that let’s you post Pinterest stuff to a Facebook page. Here it is:

Just follow the very simple directions. You can see an example here:
